13 FREE (and really cool) Programs Your Kids Can do at Calgary Library

Calgary Public Library is a fun place to find something new to read - but did you know that you can take free programs to learn everything from coding, to play the ukulele? The library is making it easier than ever to stretch that entertainment and activities budget for the kids with their free, registered and drop-in programs for children, youth and teens, at local library locations in Calgary.

Here are some great programs you can register your children for (or drop in) at Calgary Public Library locations

Firefighter Storytime
Drop in and join Library staff and a Calgary Fire Department firefighter for a special family storytime. Firefighter subject to availability. There’s also Storytime with a Fire Chief, once a week, here.

Learn to Play Guitar
Calling all aspiring rockstars! Join us for beginner guitar lessons at the library. This lesson is perfect for children who are curious about guitar and want to learn the fundamentals in a supportive and encouraging environment. Our qualified music instructors are provided by Chinook School of Music and Music and Play. Guitar provided.
