It’s looking like it’s going to become a balmy weekend out there, and we’re ready to get outside and explore. Start with the mobile pop-up playground, continue on for a cheap movie date with the kids and try something new at one of the Apple events where kids can learn to make their own emoji, and so much more.

Take a FREE Kids Art Workshop
Led by local artist, Sabine Lecorre-Moore, we’ll head into Esker’s galleries to draw inspiration from the artworks in Margaux Williamson’s exhibition, Interiors; then we’ll head back into the studio space to make our own experimental painting. Kids Studio is a series of hands-on workshops for children aged 8 to 12 where they independently explore creativity through process-based art making, movement and play. Parents or guardians are not required to be present for the duration of the program.

Try Softball at Genesis Centre for Girls
Softball is an exciting sport that not only offers great exercise but teaches teamwork while building confidence and lifelong friendships. It is unique in that it is the only sport where players are just as much cheerleaders as they are athletes! GIRL POWER!!! The only equipment required is indoor shoes and a water bottle. If they already have their own glove, helmet and bat, they are more than welcome to bring it along.
