All children under 17 years old get into Spark for only $5 between 4PM – 9PM.* It’s the perfect way to end the week stress-free. VALENTINE’S DAY SPECIAL (Friday, Feb 14 only): The Princess Bride (1987) will be playing at 6:30pm in the dome theatre, Craft a special felt heart for the special someone in your life in Makers workshop, Treat yo’ self and the whole fam jam to a special Valentine’s dinner in the Spark Eatery Make your way throughout the entire science centre, climb in the Creative Kids Museum, explore anatomy in BODY WORLDS: ANIMAL INSIDE OUT, get cozy in the Dome theatre, munch down on some treats from the Spark Eatery. Join us for a fun winter orienteering event or give it a try. This is a fun ski/skate activity event for families with kids of all ages and experience levels. Registration is $3 and includes fun ski and skate navigation courses suitable for all ages and ability levels, and goodies and hot chocolate when you’re done. Skate Rentals are available on site. Please dress for the weather, bring a mug for hot cocoa and an adventurous attitude.
For the first time, Calgary Harley-Davidson will have a kid-friendly indoor track for electric bicycles! ** Kids must bring their own helmets** – Electric Bicycle indoor track – Motorclothes Sales – Snacks and beverages – Hair tattoos by Kelli with Best of Seven Barbers – Temporary tattoos – First 15 families to RSVP will receive a goodie bag!! (must show Eventbrite ticket, limit to one bag per family).

Kick off Alberta’s Family Fishing Weekend with FREE outdoor family fun and reduced admission to our Discovery Centre, $5 (+tax) per person. Please note: The Sam Livingston Fish Hatchery will be OPEN for this event! That means that you can come out and feed the fish!! Visit Investigation Stations to learn about fish and winter recreation in Alberta! Investigation stations are open from 10am – 4pm. Last Admission to the Discovery Centre at 3:15pm.
Craft a felt cat toy for that special kitty in your life this Valentines Day. HeartFelt Calgary joins us to create these adorable catnip heart toys in this fun and interactive workshop. You will be guided step by step on how to create these felt crafts, and will be provided all supplies to take home 3 hearts for your kitties. Finding activities for the kids during winter can be difficult. Grab the family and visit us on Sunday afternoons at Devonian Gardens for some great, free activities: – get inspired by the fish and paint your best coy – learn about nature, flowers, bird species and gardens – complete a puzzle or do some colouring.
Weather and rink permitting, free hot chocolate, music, skate bars available for use. Donations accepted, donations of skates and equipment welcomed!
