Spruce Meadows Holiday Drive Through Launches This Weekend
Visitors have the option to either drive through the display or park in Lot 7 and walk along designated paths to enjoy the lights. While the pond will be closed for skating this winter, the area will feature lit firepits and a concession tent in Founders Plaza, where hot chocolate, coffee, and various treats will be available for purchase. The event will only be open from Fridays to Sundays, December 8 to 31, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

This weekend, the Coca Cola holiday truck is in town and it’s one of those magical experiences you can take part in for free this Christmas with your kids. Grab a photo with Santa, get your hands on free coke and find some free holiday magic this year.

Nutcracker In a Nutshell
Nutcracker (in a nutshell) is engaging and fun performance for the whole family! This watch-and-play performance takes children through the classical ballet in just 30 minutes. After the “fuss-friendly” performance, children are invited to join the performers to dance, play and more. There are crafts for the children 30 mins ahead of each show.

The CPKC Holiday Train is Coming to Calgary
Get outside and get ready for a winter experience like no other! The train is aglow with Christmas lights and a concert to kick off the holiday season in Calgary! The fun starts at 5:45pm when the train arrives, and the concert begins at 6pm. This one will be over before you know it, so make sure you’re on time!

If you are looking for a fun activity to do with the family, Home Depot has a great workshop for kids that will teach them about building. Kids can learn how to build their very own Gingerbread House. Registration is required, in advance - but there might be still space at a local store to take part in this fun activity.
